| Well, I've seen the topic posted here before, but have seen no resolutions yet. Has anyone gotten a DOC image up and running with Linux? I'm interested in getting something basic up and working, but I haven't been able to get Linux to write to the DOC. (Maybe I'm just dumb, maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, I dunno....) All I want is basic network connectivity (I have a Belkin USB adapter (it was free, so I won't complain)), e2fsck w/badblocks (I've got a few concerns about my HD, it's an old one I had laying around and may be dying), a decent console MP3 player, cmatrix, and perhaps a couple of other pretty console screen programs. I don't need X or anything complicated, I'm just going to use this to play some of my MP3 collection. All I have is a 16MB DOC, since my 48MB one died. (BTW, hevnsnt, if ya want to see exactly how dead mine is, and if you can make it work, we could probably work something out. E-mail me carnageAToneDOTnet)
If anyone is up for the task, or has some pointers to pass along so I could complete the task myself, please let me know! | |
