I tried a 128 Meg SODIMM in my FreeBSD running Virgin.

The BIOS counts up the 128 Meg. Yet, it wants to use 65meg+384K as cache for the system ROM.

Any ideas on getting this box to use the 128Meg - 384K?

Replaced play-toy OS (linux) on the Virgin with a REAL OS...BSD!

I added a Centon 128MB PC100 SODIMM to my Webplayer and while the BIOS boot screen shows 128MB, Windows 98 will not load. Replacing the original 64MB of RAM makes everything work again. When I test the 128MB SODIMM in my laptop computer it tests 100 percent good. Are there special BIOS settings required to make other memory work? Are there certain brands of memory that work better than others?
