Need help on Hard Drive!!!!

I can boot up from hard drive which is clean installed. when I finished the win98 installation, it asked me to reboot. But it never came up. The screen only shows a blinking cursor. Bios is right. I don't know where went wrong.
Any suggestion is welcome.

And when I put the hard drive back on the laptop. It will finish up the win98 installation and I can put in the registration code. Thanks.
