Turning the DOC into a Linux install disk?
Transferring the needed files to the Disk On Chip to function as a Linux network install floppy

I was wondering how hard it would be to make the DOC function as a Linux network install floppy for installing, say, Linux Mandrake 8.0 over a fast network connection. I'd love to put Linux on my Webplayer, but the lack of a CD-ROM or floppy disk kind of limits my options. I figure if I can boot from the DOC as if it were a Linux network install floppy, all would be good with the world; assuming it would detect my USB Ethernet adapter, of course!
Can you bum me a .sig?

I know it's bad form to reply to my own thread, but I forgot to mention that I do have a 5 GB laptop drive in my Webplayer to place Linux on to. I didn't want anyone to think I was trying to cram Mandrake with KDE and all of the developer files into 48 MB!

Connect the drive to another computer with cd, internet connection, floppy, or whatever and install from there.
