Ethernet Question

I KNOW THAT THIS HAS BEEN DISCUSSED BEFORE, BUT...

Just got a webplayer, and I am looking to purchase an ethernet card.
All the forums about the webplayer show people having numerous
problems with USB ethernet cards. However, there seems to be some
consensus that the 3Com 3C19250 is the best choice. Please advise.

And I have said this before:
You are better off with an ethernet version webplayer.
Available directly from Boundless for USD 160,-
Then you will have a build-in mini-pci-nic which works
very well.
The question you are asking is not really an issue of ethernet
but USB, since this interface is causing all the trouble.
Still nobody hasn't really figured it out what the problem is
with the interface.

Well, kray, that is true, but for us that already have a non-ethernet version your advice is not really helpful.

If you have the ethernet version, do you know the maker of the MiniPCI card in there? If so perhaps we can find a place that sells it. I am looking for a wireless miniPCI card, but no one seems to have tried any yet.

You're right, but as I have mentioned before you can sell your modem-webplayer
and then buy the ethernet version in stead.

I also already explained that the nic itself is not on the regular market.
It's OEM and when you order at least 10k the manufacturor (Ambit) might consider
to start another production of it.

Kray Could you tell me how I buy a WP direct from Boundless, I have searched there site
but found nothing, I would like the ethernet version, They only other place is Ubid.com
but they don't ship overseas as I live in Edinburgh, Scotland

For getting in contact with boundless concerning webplayers:
webplayer@boundless.com
If you want the 'ethernet'-version then it's best you specificaly mention that.
I don't know if they still have them or not.
