Just wondering: Is the bios password on the uBid units is the same as the units Virgin originally sold? I searched through the old posts and found nothing on the subject. If the uBid units have a blank password, has it ever been determined whether or not the password is actually stored in the bios image? If so, could you flash the old wp's with the bios image from a uBid unit to clear the password for good? Anyone tried this?? Later...
I spoke with the guys at Boundless and asked them this exact question. Seems they were planning on setting up the machines without the BIOS password but it didn't seem like it bought them anything to do it, so they left it as is (though the ethernet boxes have a slightly different setup).
