was wondering if any progress was made on this. I'd like to find a way to get a shell open on the desktop- overall I'd like to mod the DOC image with it in-place; get rid of the slow java browser and get something a bit more lightweight.
I'll probably get the laptop cable pretty soon for a HD.. has anybody fit the HD inside of the ethernet version?

Another request for help with getting to the OS of the ubid ethernet webplayers. These are NOT set up the same as the modem versions. Has anyone been able to get out at all?
