Hi all,
I got a notebook drive installed with Win98 in my webplayer and everything works great except I get no sound
the system indicates that all the devices are working properly though...(w/the DOC WIn98lite version running sound works great!)
I've tried reinstalling the sound drivers etc...and it still doesn't work. anyone have suggestions?
Thanks, Mars

Try disabling the Mic input in the Sound applet in control panel. It's a common problem.

I've tried that but it doesn't do anything. I figured the drivers must be working since I can here the speakers popping on and off during bootup.
I noticed the i-hacked DOC image has older drivers and I tried using those but still no luck. Im really bummed here this is supposed to be my table top mp3 player. I haven't seen anyone else post sound problems w/ the WP.Any other ideas?

And how did you come to that conclusion? With your eyes closed? Because
just found a whole lot of them. On the top of this page there is a link 'search'.
I advise you to use it once in a while.

Forgive me my attitude but I hang about here for quite a while now and one
thing I don't like is seeing questions posted that have been answered before
and are VERY easy to be tracked down again.
As I have been around for some time as I said I do know that the sound problem
has been posted and answered several times in the past.
So the answer is here somewhere. You just need to make that little effort to click
on 'search', type 'sound problem' and mark 'Virgin Webplayer' and there is your answer.
