The webplayer boots up to a control panel screen were you can set your IP address to static or dhcp. With a netgear router acting as a dhcp server I was able to browse right away with the built in browser. The next time you boot it will come up with a screen telling you to press enter to logon. If you want to get back to the configuration screen CTRL-F1(music) takes you there, but there is no password needed. The homepage for the built in browser is now www.yahoo.com. In fact there are no "Virgin" labels or references anywere on the unit.
The bios is still accesible with F2 and default password of schwasck, but you can change the password to anything you want.
Does anybody have any information on the settings accessible by pressing ctrl-s for the ethernet card?

Try changing the bios password and using the function key to save and exit bios, I believe it is F-10. If I try and clear the password it reverts back to default, but if I change it to somthing else it sticks. My ethernet WP was just delivered from Ubid this week so maybe it is a newer bios. I will check the version tonight. Anybody had any luck getting PXE or RPL to work with the intel boot agent? If I try PXE I get an error about not having enough base memory to load.

Has anyone else gotten bad NICs lately? Between my friend and I, we've gotten 3 bad ones in a row.. Boundless is good about replacing them, but I wonder if there is a bad batch floating around? I got one a few months ago that worked fine and the replacement they just sent me works ok, but my friend has gotten 2 bad ones so far. The crapped out units send garbage packets out and end up being partitoned or shutdown from the switch/hub. Of course, multiple cables and switches have been tried.
