WP: ISP config problem w/MSN

I have a WP "hacked" only to use my own ISP. I reconfigured for MSN w/out Domain Name or DNS Numbers (not available on MSN site). Altho it connected, the WB was "unable to open [any] internet sites [because] connection with server could not be established."

I called the friendly folks at MSN Tech Support, and the rep to whom I spoke said that MSN did not give out Domain Name or DNS numbers for configuring manual TCP/IP connections, as they were proprietary for MSN.

Questions: (1) Has anyone heard of such a thing?; (2) Does anyone know the manual TCP/IP configuration info for MSN, or where to get it?; and (3) Any other helpful suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help. Microsoft's Future Plans: Total World Domination!

This is ridiculous.
Do you have another computer on which you can connect to MSN?
If yes, after connected go to the Start Menu of Windows, choose 'Run' and type 'winipcfg'
Choose your external adapter/modem from the pulldown menu (default should be ok)
and then choose for 'more info'. There you have a list of your IP, name servers, gateway, etc.

Use that information for the wp.
This should work for most ISP's, I dunno about MSN.

After I posted, I found out about and tried that. The DNS numbers looked unlike any I had ever seen (much shorter). I tried them anyway with the same result. I wonder if MSN has something in its ISP signal (?) that screws up the DNS number readings.
