help me please

Im using a german distri .
Has some one ever installed a linux from scratch on that virgin player ??
I got problems with the usb ..... i can see at /proc/bus/usb the hub and the mouse
but the hid.o does not claim the mouse ...
i made usb-ohci only to load when i provide it into the kernel !!!
but when i load every ####ing modul of usb ( input , core , hid ...) nothing is happening with my mouse !!!!!
are there moduls which disturb the usb....
by the way : the reason why i had to compile the ohci into the kernel is that i m using a ehernet card to which is on the same irq ....
and usbohci as modul freezes my machine ....

any suggestions ??
