NTLDR is missing message on screen. Windows XP will not boot??

When I try to boot up on Windows XP, I receive this text on my screen "NTLDR is missing Press any key to restart". I dont know where to go from here. Please help!

I believe that's what you get when you attempt to boot to a disk that has been formatted by NT/Win2k but does not have an OS on it, or some critical file is missing.

If it used to boot to XP and you haven't changed anything, sounds like data corruption.

I formatted my HD (as FAT32) on a Win2k box then made it bootable from a Win98 startup floppy - no dice. What worked for me was putting it in as the primary in a desktop, booting to a Win98 startup disk, FDisk, Format /s and copy all you're going to need later (Win98, drivers etc) onto it before putting it in the webplayer.

In fact I used WinME, only problem so far is sound not working yet...

Try bios setup->advanced->Large disk access mode
set to "other".

It solved the problem for me with a 4 gig drive. But I still couldn't get w2000 up, it resets on the loading screen...
