Win98 on HD can't detect internal modem. When I pick a modem (standard 56K or whatever) from list, I have to also pick a port (printer or com 1). After which when I dial up the modem is not found. What am I doing wrong? Any help greatly appreciated.

Try using a 33.6 standard modem, not a 56K. Should detect it.

Thanks joemac but I tried that. I wish it was just that simple.

I could use help with this as well- though when I switch back to the DOC w/ Win98 and Opera installed- the modem works fine.
