Just FYI, www.ubid.com currently (as of 01/20/02) has refurbished Webplayers for approx $35-40.00 dollars plus shipping. I won one with a bid of $40.00.... Not too bad, seems to be cheaper than what I have been seeing them on E-bay for.

Ya I wouldn't buy from ubid. I have had bad experiances with them and tons of others have too. they are sketchy at best. If you want a webplayer look in the ad posts here a good one will show soon. Thats where I got mine.

Too late..... though they only charged me $16.00 shipping. I have bought small items in the past from U-bid without problems. My only complaint has been slow shipping.

I just looked and there are 15 modem WPs on there for only $35 now and the $16 or so in shipping! I need the NIC versions.

I have bought three of these little cuties from uBid. I did learn to be very cautious of the shipping price, though. One batch each day will be 13.99 + .99 per lb, another group will be 7.99 +.99 and finally, one batch will be 5.99 +.99 per pound. Well, they all weigh the same and they all come from the same place. Who is getting the extra jack from the bogus shipping? When I buy, again, nobody will get any extra! Search uBid on 'boundless' to see all auctions. Only one group each day goes under "Web Appliances." Also, don't pay more than $35.00 even if you havew to wait till tomorrow for another batch.

When i bought mine I just bought two @ 35 with the 5.99 shipping. Then I sold one for $60 on ebay, however they are only going for about $35 on ebay now anyway. If you flash the doc with win98le then you might be able to get $50-60 out of one.
