Opening the case?

Sorry if the answer is obvious, but how do I open it up? I removed two screws and the cover with the power switch dropped off, how do I get into the case proper? I don't want to start poking too much and the guides all seem to assume it doesn't need explaining, maybe I'm missing something!

Pull thw two black rubber plugs from the top of the case (the rubber plugs are used to cushion the screen when it's folded back). There are two screws under there as well - once they're pulled the top of the case will lift off.

Great, thanks, I'm in!

Okay, I have setup a HDD and plugged it in, when I power on it still boots to the ISP screen, looks like I need to change the BIOS however I never see a "Virgin Logo" and pressing F2 immediately after power on doesn't get me to the BIOS, am I doing something wrong?

Do I need to remove the DOC? If so do I have to take the board out, seems it is underneath.

thanks again.

Chris.

Keep pressing F2, you can't tell when exactly to hit it unless you disable the quiet boot setting.

Well, after a lot of digging and whacking F2 I think it came down to one of two things, I read a post that said to check NumLock and CapsLock were off - mine wasn't, also it seems it wouldn't let me in unless after a hard boot (power plug out). Still, I'm in and rolling again now.

In case there are any newbies around things I've learnt so far...

1. Don't format the HD using Win2000, even as FAT, mine wouldn't boot.
2. Have a GOOD look through the BIOS, turn on all the information screens, enable the IDE and set the boot sequence
3. Just a comment, before enabling the IDE the HD will spin, constantly, while ever there is power to the WebPlayer. Once the IDE is enabled it spins down when the power is off.

Great forum, thanks to all who replied and those whose posts I found in the archives.

C.
