Have you used the SMC Ethernet adapter with this release?
I am trying to use the SMC 2102 with it and it does not have the drivers loaded. I believe the notes said that support was already there for the SMC Ethernet adapter.
one thing about the site is they should not use the word "websurfer" since the webplayer win98 doc image if installed on websurfer pro will promt you for win98 cd and will most likely fail on vga display adapter(locks up)
with some hacking of the doc image i was able to boot and run it on websurfer pro! :) but few minor issues are locking up if i try to access the display setting
since webplayer and websurfer pro use same cyrix chipset i had to delete all display drivers and reinstall updated drivers :) opera browser works and i had to load in a new driver for realtek ethernet card :) only one thing that i need to hack is display setting(webplayer driver is at 640x480x16color what i need is 256 or 16k color mode since opera browser look like sh*t in the 16 color mode
On the WebPlayer, using 98Lite, I want to confirm that I CAN use the SMC 2102 USB Ethernet adapter and I DON'T have to load any other drivers...it just works! It's great! DHCP worked fine. Now you can copy files in/out of the DOC image with ease.
