disk on chip question (modified 0 times) wiggles Profile ok here is the thing I am building a computer to put beside the tv. it needs to be super quiet. so I also need a quiet storage solution. hd is not ok because it clicks. I will be storing very little, so a diskonchip or compact flash or something like that will be fine. now, I already know that compact flash to IDE adaptors are available. however, I also have a webplayer, and I will not be using the diskonchip in it, so rather than throw it away, I would like to connect the diskonchip to the IDE in the computer. is there an adaptor that I can buy or plans so that I can build such a thing. thanks 02-04-2002 18:27:24

Then you have a very small and very quiet computer, just what you are looking for. Anyway, there is a way to use the DOC in a normal pc because the DOC is actually using an internal ISA interface onboard the webplayer.
