Hi Pete,

Yes, you must have your priorities in life. Certainly having a job is high on the list, on mine anyways. :)

Unfortunately, I don't have any public space big enough to host the file, but I suspect someone will offer up a hosting site soon...hold tight.

Thanks!

Hey!

Can someone please host this new Linux image from Pete?

I just don't have the space/capability to do so.

Thanks!

I don't know if Pete included the Pegasus driver. My guess is that he did. If not, it may be on the other image that Pete made. Check the other thread about the Linux DOC image that Pete made. Anyhow, I am only looking for the kawasaki driver. I don't have RedHat, and I can't say I would know how to compile the Kawasaki driver for a different platform even if I did have it. But I do know that I can put a hard drive w/ all the necessary drivers into the webplayer, and still boot off the DOC. Then I could copy all the drivers onto the DOC. At that point I could copy the entire DOC image back to the hard drive, and create a "compilation of drivers" DOC image. I will post that on my site. If anyone wants to contribute drivers to that compilation DOC, or can talk somebody else into making them, please feel free to do so. You can email me at matt at mattgrab dot com. I SO look forward to getting Pete's image which includes Opera, and my Kawasaki USB driver. After like 6 mos or a year, I'll be able to use my Webplayer for THE WEB!

Matt,

I appreciate that you would like to host these files.

If I may ask that you create a tiered approach on your website so that each time a person goes there he does not need to wait for all the pictures you have on your first page to load. I have a dialup line, and it takes forever!

You must have a cable modem, or perhaps DSL. In any case, please consider it.

Thanks!

I will setup a tiered loading approach so it is faster for people with dial-ups.

Thanks Matt,

Please let us know when you have the newer file up there. Or are you going to keep "both" up there?

Regards

Hi guys,
I'm really sorry.

as long as rememeber, somebody email me about giving me a space for image.

Yes, I will upload to you guys.
please be patience, I'm using Dialup (modem) for connecting the internet.
take a time but will be there soon.

If you guys, wanna do ur self creating DOC image, I will create a small howto first(when having spare times). it will speed the devel/creating images

give me any feedback + or -. (this's life :)).

I just bought thin client XL-1000. it has 72 MB DOC, it's roomy. don't know have time for torturing that machine. check at www.computer-show.com $59 (used to be $49) at computer -> thin terminal

please email me at petejengkol@yahoo.com ( I check it weekly).

thanks 4 UR feedback and response..

Peace

PS: thinking about DSL, do you think earthlink DSL is fair good enough guys.

Yes Pete, please create that howto for the DOC image. That'd be very useful.

I have Earthlink and I'm very happy with it. Whatever you do, don't go with Verizon. I used to have them, but the service was REALLY bad (not to mention all the spam I got).

I'll put in another good word for Earthlink. I have Mindspring and have been fairly happy with them.
I am thinking of switching to DirectTV DSL though.... They offer a static IP and they dont mind if you run a web or mail server.

I would be putting it on my http://webplayer.fizzlez.com page. Right now all I have there are jpgs of my mods. I have a few other sites other than the soon to be webplayer site:

http://audrey.fizzlez.com --Audrey stuff
http://sharkfin.fizzlez.com --3Com HomeConnect Cablemodem stuff

And soon as I get my cpu fan I will put up a small Netier site. I do nothing fancy. I pass on information I learned about each device. The server is my work server with a T1.
