IBM Travelstar HD problems (modified 0 times) Cordrey Profile I have tried two different IBM harddrives. Neither are able to be recognized by the WP. When configuring the BIOS, the IDE drives always read "NONE" regardless of settings. I have tried AUTO and USER (specifying details). Any help would be greatly appreciated. 04-05-2002 13:46:58

One for 'cross wires', and the other for setting that drive as a slave. Removing all jumpers, configures the drive as a master. Both drives boot fine in the laptop. Even if the partition was not active, the bios should recognize the drive? Thanks.... 04-05-2002 18:13:49
