I copied the files from i-hacked to reprogram the DOC. I then reset the BIOS boot settings so "removable devices" was ahead of "hard drive" and verified that it did read my "legacy device."
I had the USB CD plugged in when I plugged in the power supply. I got the "Preparing to connect to the internet" screen, about 1/4" filled in the progress bar and then it hung and the power button would not work - I had to pull the plug.
I went back to the BIOS, disabled the silent and quick boot options, enabled the summary and set the HD pre-delay to 9 seconds. The 1st and 2nd screens were normal start-up system info and diagnostic screens, the 3rd was filled with "$$$$$$...." and locked-up - only way out was to pull the plug.
Did I miss something or was I just too impatient during a long boot process?
Any help will be appreciated ! ! !
