I would like to know what needs to be installed in 98 for it to work off the DOC.
I want to make one for what i need.

Also what do you use to convert the install to a .img.

I'm trying to figure that out too.
My webplayer is being shipped, and I have been trying to read the famewolf image file off of the copy I've got on my desktop.

My limited understanding is that the IMG file is a single file compliation of everything that is in a HD partition. I think that it is similar to the type of files that would be used by certain backup programs, or disk imaging programs such as ghost.

If it is true that it is like a backup image of a hard-drive partition, then what program lets me look inside of it?

For your first question, second. I'm looking for the answer at this link

Windows98 comes bloated with a lot of stuff that you don't need to run a computer. 98Lite Pro version removes all of the bloat like Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, Help Files, HTML web stuff that run throught the OS, and you end up with a nice compact version of Win98.

M-Systems is the company that makes the DOC. Click on that link and read thru the site. You can download the Dos tools and create your own Win98 image.

The IMG file is an "image" of your hard drive partition. It's the easiest way to "clone" computers. You need the
M-System tools to transfer that image to the DOC.

If you were just cloning the image from one hard drive to another you'd use a tool like Norton Ghost or Powerquest Drive Image
