I remember from some older threads people could get passwords into the setup by talking to the VirginConnect service and pretending like they had problems. Any of you smooth talkers want to give it a try? Maybe some disgruntled employees will give up some more info now that it doesn't matter anymore.
By the way, any and all hacking info, or if you have done something you'd like to see if I can recreate, mail me rtgoodwin@austin.rr.com.
Lets see if we can get some more use out of these things!
Sorry, that was not the BIOS password they were giving out but the password to change some of the system settings once it had booted the operating system. A panel comes up with a four digit number and you must entry the matching key for that four digit number. The number is different each time the panel comes up.
Still, it wouldnt hurt to see if we could milk the bios pass out of them.. Wtf would they
care if we had it now.. Just call from a payphone or some number they cant trace back to you.
because if you get someone who wont give it out, would know that you dont plan to send it back.. =)
