I installed the existing opera doc image and then installed opera 6 over it. I also went through the doc image and cleaned up the files that I did not need and I now have 33 mb free (compressed).
So to answer your question yes it work good.... better than the version 4 that was installed.

I'm going to point out (again) that maybe the DoC makers should try k-meleon... it's a Mozilla .9 (full DHTML/XHTML etc compliant) browser that only takes up a couple of megs of space. It has better rendering than Opera, no ads, it's legal to redistribute, and it takes up fewer resources when it's running.
