Do any of you fine folks have directions for crimping our very own 44 pin laptop ide header ribbon cable?

Parts list and locatoin of where to buy and/or a rought estitmate of total cost?

Also, might you know some place inexpensive where one could pickup 1 or 2 and shipping wouldn't run the total that much higher.

I am aware of badflash but his hole-in-the-wall operation is a bit gaugey.

Here is a link to where I bought my cable from. It's a 10" 44 pin cable. After shipping I paid just under $15.

I bought some 3 feet of bulk cabe and 8 connectors for about the same price as the 10" pre-made cable.

you just need some patience and a small vice to crimp the connectors on. mounting the connectors square in relation to the cable was probably the hardest thing to do. Also, you need to make sure each connector is attached to the cable in the same direction, so pin 1 goes to pin 1 on the other connector, etc.
