|I am confused as to what you are doing... Can we assume that you have the following: Windows 98 boot diskette, WIN 98 CD, Win 98 manual, and can make the laptop drive the primary drive on the PC?|
If so, then I think you can
-boot up on the diskette, (see "Using the start up disk" in your 98 SE manual. Pg 78)
-access the WIN 98 CD and find XCOPY.EXE,
-copy xcopy.exe from CD to diskette. (because it's handier to have it on diskette, IMHO)
-do a "format C: /s" on the laptop drive, assuming it is C:
-xcopy your WIN98 files from CD to the laptop drive.
-copy the webplayer drivers to the laptop drive via diskette.
-power down PC, remove laptop drive.
-install laptop drive to webplayer.
