Cannot see MOD drive.

I just got my Virgin Webplayer, and sucessfully installed a 6GB laptop drive and Windows ME. However, I cannot see the DOC chip in the OS. Should this chip be showing up as a drive letter? Are there any specific BIOS setting that have to be set?

Thanks!

**** WARNING NOT FOR THE CASUAL USER! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK ********

You have to run fdisk.exe and format.exe in the MSDOS window.

While running fdisk, you have to make sure you select the other physical drive (the DOC). This is "Change Current fixed disk drive" choice. (In my case '2')

After selecting the DOC, you will have to delete any logical drives/partitions.

Then use the "Create DOS Partition ON Logical DOS Drive" choice.

Quit fdisk.

Run format X: where X is the drive letter of the DOC. (In my case 'D:' )

If all goes well, you end up with a 48MB solid state disk.

Enjoy
