Hi, I finally got the webplayer to see my drive and it will boot on a PC but the webplayer keeps giving me an OS error when it tries to boot. I've played around with all the settings in BIOS and haven't gotten anywhere. Any ideas? It's as if it sees the boot diretory knowing that there is an OS, yet it can't read the files or something. HELP please!
STATS: IBM Travelstar 20GN- 5Gig
I xcopied from e:win98 to c: windows\options©abs and put the win98 restore diskette files on c: . It boots nicely when attached to my PC(w/adapter 44-40 pin). The Heads/Cylinders/sectors match in BIOS (both on PC & Webplayer)It is partitioned correctly. I used the IBM utility to format & partition (prior to that the webplayer kept saying NO OS loaded non system disk" etc.

In your BIOS setting, did you set the OS to WIN95? I'm not sure if you really need to set the disk with the actual landing zone, sector, cylinder data. You can use AUTO.

Here is my information on setting the BIOS:
SET BIOS ON WEBPLAYER
To get into the bios, unplug your webplayer and plug it back in.
While your webplayer boots up, press F2 (the second key to the right of esc) until you
get into the bios.
You will be asked for a password, it is schwasck, and you can't change it.
Under the "Main" tab, set the primary master to "auto".
Then, under the "Advanced" tab, Change "installed O/S" to win95,
and "Large disk access" to DOS.
Then go to "I/O device Configuration" and change "Local bus IDE adapter" to primary.
