Sorry about all the questions but i am a n00b but i was wondering how to install the drivers. does it just involve putting them on the HD from a floppy and it finds them as long as their in the right folders or do i have to do something in windows?

Thanks again

Copy/download the Cyrix files to the hard drive. Then click on the Cyrix executable/installer.

I definitely have an installer. It's about 800K. You don't see an icon that looks like an open box, rusty red in color, with a green ball circling it?

OK try this.. select the Add New Hardware in Windows.

I have 2 zip files, one extracts into 3 folders named: Audio, Video and UDMA. Each folder has DLLs and other files but no EXE. The other zip i have has just an EXE named:
Cyrix MediaGX Win9x Drivers 3.83.exe and that file is about 800k. Is that the one i need?

I think that's the right one. Otherwise you'll have do the Add New Hardware route.

After installation of the audio/video/udma drivers:
1. Mute the LINE IN audio. If you don't, you wont hear anything.
2. Change the video display to 800x600
3. Reboot

Can you let us know were you got the EXE for future reference? I don't even remember where I got mine.
