Turning off screen

Has anyone come up with any type of information on how to turn off the screen on the WP, and still have it running? I'm currently preparing this unit for use as a webcam server and I really don't need the screen on 24X7! I'm not adverse to mounting some type of switch on the side and just cutting the power if that's what it takes.

Thanks for any info!

you can probably wire a switch to one of the wires that provides power to the circuit that drives the lamp that lights the lcd. but i never needed to cause i just put the cover on whenever i dont want to see it on

Just install the APM Hotfix available here http://www.polarcloud.com/nt/virgin/ . After you install it, the power button will put the webplayer in suspend mode and turn off the screen.

FYI the APM Hotfix also will allow turning off the screen via the power management turn off power setting.
