FULL Shutdown in Windows 98?

When shutting down, the webplayer will go to the screen that says "It is now safe to shut off your computer". Has anyone figured out how to shut it completely off without unplugging it?

On a side note, has anyone gotten the power button to do anything?

Nope not going to happen. It just wont do it. From what I can see, there isnt a way to actually turn it off (besides pulling the plug or making your own switch attached to the electric connecter). The only thing the button in the front does is to put it in standby mode/wakeup....and even then that is kind iffy. I still have yet to get it to work properly.

It is not possible to shutdown a VWP. Do you see a power supply in it? No, there isn't one. The closest equivilent is the power brick.

I have several VWPs with ME installed on them and the button on the front reliably sleeps/wakes up all of them. I don't know about 98 as I don't use it.

I have 3 webplayers and for some weird reason only one of mine shutdown all the way. I mean it doesn't turn itself off, but I can hit the power button when its at the "Its not safe to turn off your computer" screen and the screen turns off and the light goes orange. If I find out what I did, cause I think I accidently pulled the cables off the power switch when I was adding a harddrive, and had to resolder them on, so if I figure out the difference between them, I'll let you guys know.
