i am kinda new to IA hacking, and need a little help.
i'm geting a little frusterated, i tried to mount a DOC image so that i can get some files off it/put some on it.
well, the loopfs tthat they use <isnt it trueffs?> isnt mountable in a regular off the shelf install of slack.
is there a way to convert the file into a standard loop file? is there a program that will let me to get things off, or put them on the DOC?
the reason i am doing this is so i can get a version of mysql on the doc, and compile it so i dont have to wait forever for the thing to compile.
</vent>
<sig>insert good sig here</sig>

I am not that familiar with how well Linux is compatible with a DOC, so I don't know if this is any help, but in FreeBSD there is a device fla0 that will allow directly mounting the DOC (not the image of the DOC) and you can use it like a regular device mounting it as msdos, ext, or ufs as appropriate. I suspect the "image" that getmdoc creates is not a standard format, as it prints info about storing the boot files and then the image, instead of just copying the device as an image. But that is a guess.
