PCMCIA on Webplayer - How?
What are my options?

Goal: Super-inexpensive PC or PC-like device to stream music to and check web-based mail.

With that in mind, my Webplayer is set up with the IE DOC img, and no hard drive (I can attach one of course to make modifications). I have a D-Link DSB650 USB Ethernet adapter attached, but would prefer to use a wireless link. I have an "old" Linksys PCMCIA card, so adding that to the system would be essentially "free".

So how do I go about doing this? As soon as I spend more than $70, just buying a Wireless USB card is the same price. Do PCMCIA adapters for the mini-PCI exist? Could one modify the unpopulated CompactFlash connector to accept PCMCIA? Other ideas?

Mike

The only way to add PCMCIA to a webplayer would be to get a USB PCMCIA adapter, but those are hard to find and over $100....
