Display Adapter Unknown
Will a different driver give me better video

I am running a modified version of the famewolf image. I'm hoping that I can get better video color resolution, and hopefull that an improvement is possible because my current setup says that the monitor is unknown when checked in Display Properties, Settings.

Currently it checks as "(UNKNOWN MONITOR) ON A CYRIX XpresssGRAPHICS

and reports that the resolution is High Color 16 bit, 800 x 600.

But to my eyeball test, the colors do not pass 256.

I'm thinking if I can get it to use a more appropriate monitor driver, the color will be better.

What monitor shows up for you when you ask for the display information off of Windows Settings? And do you think that you are getting more than 256 colors?
