Proof that people are no damn good:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2033662160

This little weasel is selling a webplayer, and some pirated software for over 100!
I couldn't find anywhere on ebay to report him.
I just hope it isn't one of us.

thank you, I couldn't find a place to do it.

i can't belive someone actually has a bid in.

It seems ubid is not listing anymore at the moment so i've been looking elsewhere. I saw 2 on half.com, 1 for 195 and 1 for 199. Unbelievable.

what a waste of a thread.
who cares if he is reselling them at profit thats capitalism at work.
why try to save the world and stop the poor person who wants to spend 100 bucks from getting a webplayer what are they gonna do with it send the 100 bucks to feed the children instead?? i dont think so

so he is selling them at 100 bucks so what you gonna report all the other people selling websurfer pros for 100 when those were 50?? and what about the other i-appliances??
since the supply at ubid is running dry youll be seeing alot more people selling webplayers for more than 35 bucks and what you gonna do than probably nothing cause if you need an extra one later youll be first in line to spend the extra cash

Its not that we are mad that he is selling it for more than ubid...its that he is getting more than usuall for it because it contains software that he didn't pay for and is illegal.

How do you know the guy isn't paying MS for the copy of Win98SE he's "preloading" on the box?

If anything I think you should alert MS that this guy is putting their OS on his box and selling it. But I don't think EBay can know that this guy is doing anything wrong (in this case anyways) because he may be paying MS for a copy of 98SE (we can't prove otherwise can we?).

Let me just point out a few things:

1. There is no hard drive installed at least by what is stated as included. I don't think that a full Win98SE will fit on the DOC let alone all the other programs which are "included".
2. The WebPlayer in question is "Sealed in original packaging from Boundless the manufacturer" and "Includes all of the following factory pre-loaded titles". I don't think Boundless was installing any of the software mentioned.
3. Did anyone squint to read the fine print? It states "NOTE: All sales are final. No product may be returned, except for products that arrive dead on arrival (DOA), which may be returned for a refund less shipping and only if insured on initial shipment."

So, according to this seller, BOUNDLESS pre-installed Windows 98, CoolMP3/WinAMP, PowerDVD, ZoneALARM, UltraEdit, Macromedia Dreamweaver, and MacroMedia Fireworks on a 48meg DiskOnChip and if you don't pay the extra for insurance, you can't return it no matter what.

Sounds like a scam to me.

Did you guys notice he was in California? Probably the same ass that was bidding on them all for weeks on Ubid and raising the price. Remember him? I bet it is ;)

Maybe someone should ask him for a screenshot of his super charged WebPlayer running Dreamweaver MX. The new Dreamweaver takes up nearly 40mb on my hard drive and would grawl (if at all work) on a WebPlayer.

Notice the Private Auction which hides the bidders eBay userids... Too bad we can not warn the bidders.

Report him to Microsoft and Macromedia -- that might stop future cons.

Just my 2 cents worth.

future cons??
come on you guys dont have any proof of conning , your all just mad he probably bought them all up and is selling them at profit ,who really cares ??if you guys are so hurt email him for his side. before you go making accustaions .also the only thing that may be of illegality is the os cause all the other software is free to download as trial versions and he makes no mention of it being full versions either ,and if he started off with the famewolf doc than most of it is trail versions.
so i just wanna get this straight its okay for some of you guys to use the win98 lite image but not him cause he is selling the webplayer???as we speak there are other guys selling webpplayers on ebay with the same doc image.

Just the fact that is auction is sealed in original packaging from Boundless means it doesn't have windows 98 on it. He is at least lying in one respect or another.

It says on the auction "No moving parts" so it must not have a hard drive, which means its pretty much impossible to install all that software. Also, if it was trial versions pre installed that would be a rip off to anyone who bought it and wanted that software. If you were to just buy a copy of dreamweaver on ebay, wouldn't you be pissed if when you got it it was the trial version?

man
you guys are really overplaying the issue.its obvious there is no harddrive cause it says so ,to say oh he said theres no moving parts so there must not be a hard drive is nitpicking the obvious.and shows your not looking at whats there but only looking to see the bad .
if you guys got problems with it how come no one complains when someone asks for the 98lite image?? why not get codeman to remove every instance of the 98lite image from the board and block users who give links or distribute it??? its just as wrong as that guy doing it but you guys dont care because in those instances its benefiting you. so stop complaining about it cause if you downloaded that image your just as guilty as him, because im sure you didnt run out and buy an extra 98 license and i am also sure you ddint get a license for the full version of lite to go along with that. so lets stop playa-hating and move on to more beneficial threads

Man poisonfistclan you sure are an angry little bitch. I posted this as a "Hey, lets all laugh at the Jackass on Egay!" Its turned into "Hey, lets all laugh at poisonfistclan, our very own, resident F@cktard!" I hate attacking people, but you my little tard are flame bait.

I have no problem with him pirating software. More power to him. I'll admit to having some software that I didn't pay for, no one here is completely clean. What we are pissed off about is that he is trying to take advantage of some more schmo who doesn't know anybetter. He's a lying ass and deserves to be called out. If you think he should be allowed to lie, cheat, and steal his way through life, fine.

And don't call us 'play-haters'. Dirtbags aren't palayers you ignornant f@ck. If you want to get on to more important threads do so, no one is making you read this.

Stop being a bitch.

anyone can call names like little boys named chris but can they back it up??? thats the real question??
______ 1313 halsey st. ,brooklyn n.y. 11237________ is were you can knock before you think of making yourself look stupid on the board . cause you can try to flame all you want but we all know you are the one hiding behind the pc. come one before you call someone ignorant for there use of venaculars make sure you know how it applies as well little boy!!!and i still say these threads are better off wasted on something else more productive so before you get mad because your mom bid on the $120.webplayer try growing some hair on your chest first and a little sense to boot!

I do apologize for going off you as much as I did, it was early in the morning, and I hadn't slept yet.

And posting your address was pretty childish. I didn't say I wanted to come kick your ass. I'm not like that. I'm not hiding behind my PC. All I was saying was that there's no point in being a troll. Threadcrapping is a ####ty thing to do on any forum.

And never question my furriness. I've had hair on my chest since I was 12, its had 10 years to turn into a forest.

Chris

PS - By the way, its "vernacular".

PPS - I'll send you a post card from sunny florida, you sound like you could use a good cheering up.
