Win98 Boot Locking

So, I did an install of Lite98 (Preview version) onto a laptop drive that was mounted on another computer. The install went fine. I then took the drive and put it on the WebPlayer, and the first time I booted it, it went through and found all sorts of new devices. I had the drivers file installed on the HD and supplied it with the drivers when necessary. It went through and installed everything, and then asked to reboot.

Now on the reboot, it just sits at the "starting Windows 98" screen (the one with the animated bar underneath) forever. Booting to Safe mode works fine, but regular mode does not.

Anyone have any suggestions?

GO into the device manager in safe mode and see if you see anything unusual. Sounds like you have a driver not installed correctly.

hello
why didnt you just install lite after you had the drive with 98 working??
also make sure you have all the drivers ,and what is the easiest thing to do is install the 98lite image on doc and than after you boot just copy the doc windows folder overtop of the windows folder on harddrive then boot to drive .i did this a few times and worked great
