Windows XP drivers? Cannot get soundcard codecs/Video?

Hi.

I setup Windows XP today and to my disappointment I couldn't get sound out or proper video drivers to work. The 95/98 drivers are not digitally signed Xp claims. Which is crap! I hate this new Microsloth driver compatability junk! I disabled it and when I tried to install these drivers I still got errors. Does anyone know of a way to setup on XP properly?

I've suggested this already, but don't know if it'll work - try installing the Soundblaster 16 driver with IRQ 5, Port 220, DMA 5. The sound chipset is supposedly compatible with SB's, so maybe it'll work. Also, I think driver signing is a GREAT idea, long overdue.

Hi. Yes I tried SB16/Soundblaster compatible. No luck. I guess just no Sound in XP. Video doesn't turn out right either :(.

Yeah, if they could've thought of "digitally signing" before they released all this junk made specifically for 95/98. Then it would've been okay, most peripherals I got don't work with XP, argh!
