I need a better modem driver

Here is my problem:

My laptop got hit by lighting, so I've been using my Webplayer until I can afford another one. Everything works well enough except for the modem. I'm currently using Rockwell RC56D2 Serial PnP,V.90,K56 Flex. It works but not well. It takes a long time to log on and after 10-20min it drops the connection. It shows my connection speed at 57,600bps no matter what. I've searched the boards and all I can find is the Rockwell HCF 56K Data Fax PCI, the links and address are no good. Does anyone have\or know where to get a driver that won't drop the connection all the time and hooks up above 33. I have tried the standard 33.6 and 56K neither works well. Thanks for the help.
