I just got my Webplayer about a week ago and also bought on of them there Dell wireless mini-pci cards.
There seems to be a problem with having the sound enabled with the mini-pci in. Windows will stop seeing the mini-pci and would report the the pcmcia (the mini-pci card is seen as a pcmcia device) socket is empty. Disabling USB seems to knock out the mini-pci also. If anyone has had luck with sound working with the wireless card it would be great to know how yours is configured (in bios and windows).
I also may have found an antenna that could be stuffed inside the webplayer for better range. When it arrives I will let you know how it performs. I may also have access to more and they cost a bit less than anything I been able to find on eBay. You will need the tiny patch cable that may or may not have been included with your card or you may be able to solder a couple of small wires.
Hi, I have had no problems with the sound and internal mini pci card, although, I am running windows me on a hd... you didn't specify your configuration.... I am desperately in need of an antenna solution to stuff in there, can you give me more information on what you've found? I want everything to be self contained in theh webplayer.

I finally figured it out. I was having some resource conflicts.
I running Win98 on HD also.
The antenna is just a small circuit board that is 1.5" X .5". It has some surface mount caps and resisters and some other small items soldered to it. There are two 8" wires attached to each side with a couple of small metal tabs on each end. The connector is exactly the same as on the mini-pci card. You just snap the other end of the patch cable from the mini-pci card to it.
Send me your email address and I'll send you some pics.

It works great. I was originally looking for a larger external antenna but the price was too much factoring the addition of a patch cable (pigtail) and with the trouble involved I gave up. This internal setup was far easier, affordable, and less cumbersome and works great. I haven't really tried to go too far with it yet but so far inside my house I have no issues and the client software shows that I'm at full range.
