My friend brought these to my attention and now we're curious. For a moment I thought they would be used to change frequencies to get around inference issues, but this isn't RF. :)

Any ideas?

I believe they let you change the IR's encoding (or whatever) so you would be able to use up to 16 keyboards in one room without having them interfeer with one another. The keyboard says on it/in it who made it, just look it up on their website.

This is intriguing, as I recently put my Digital Picture Frame/Caller ID Webplayer on my entertainment center. The first time I went to use my TIVO, the Webplayer beeped at every key I pressed on the remote. Pretty funny, actually. So, I have just covered up the IR port for now, but would like to get it solved. I'll play around with it tonight and let everyone know what I find out!

Hmm...maybe with the right software a Tivo remote could be used to control a webplayer....?
