I finally got sound (sortof) working under XP Pro. As someone here suggested I tried installing the Sound Blaster 16 driver. The
trick is to remove the Multimedia Audio Controller "device". sound would work until
it went and automatically installed the Multimedia Audio Controller again. it would
do this without permission. anyone know how
to prevent this from happeneing?
if anyone has any solutions for XP driver problems please
post em.
side note:
im_eguy, my desktop background is a picture from the Matrix
of Neo sitting in front of the glass of water. next to the
water I put an icon of a blue pill that goes to Micro$oft's
site. the red pill takes you to redhat. the title of the
blue pill icon is the sig
"Microsoft - Where do we want you to go today?"
and... How about power button / screen backlight issues under XP? It's all working with WinME right now... should I bother trying out XP? I dont care about sound.
Not unless you have found a way to run your webplayer at around 600mhz . When I installed pro first it took like 4 hours to install, then about 10 minutes to load windows....
Found drivers for a similar device at:

Have not tested with WebPlayer, may be bios issues.
