Hey, I recently got a Webplayer and started modding it to put in my car as an mp3 player. I have a 20GB laptop drive. To start off, I upgraded the RAM to 256MB. Everything worked fine. Then I loaded the Windows 98 SE setup files and some other stuff onto the laptop hard drive. I attached the hard drive, changed the appropriate settings to boot from the hard drive, and started to install Windows. Windows was installing, and then it gave me an error message, something about the "STACKS value in CONFIG.SYS". I thusly rebooted. I started installation again, and this time it seemed to work better - I got further than I had gotten before. When it started to detect Plug n Play devices, however, it froze. So I rebooted. This time...I just got a black screen. Rebooted a few more times. SOMETIMES I could get into the BIOS, sometimes I would just get a black screen. I decided to take the whole thing apart - I detached everything from the motherboard, and even removed the CMOS battery for a few minutes for good measure. I put everything together, and booted it up. Same thing. Sometimes black screen, sometimes, BIOS, and now sometimes the original Webplayer OS comes up. This is because the BIOS won't detect my hard drive now, for whatever reason. Oh yeah, and now, if I get to the BIOS or Webplayer OS, all the colors are inverted. Yes, the video cables and every other cable are plugged in exactly the way they were before. Is there anything I can do to get this thing to recognize my hard drive and get the colors back the way they should be????
