Hey yall, I got my webplayer adn took out the DoC to swap with someone for a harddrive. Well now it doesnt boot. nothing comes up, the screen stays black. no beeps, nothing. i can adjust the sound but the brightness control does nothing. what'd i break?

I had that problem on my very first webplayer. All I did was open it up, and then it was dead. I could never figure it out...I just sold it for parts. (but I still got more than I paid for it )

i broke a wire on the LCD cable. i tried to resolder it but with no change. the only thing is the non-working brightness control makes me suspicious, does that only work when somethings on the screen? its not black-black, its obviously being lit by the CCFL, but nothing shows up. also the beeping when i smash F2 after a while indicates that it might actually just be the cable. anyone wanna sell me one really cheap :D
