I have a Webplayer that is hacked and functional except for one thing. The cable going from the MB to the lcd screen has been damaged (three wires have popped off the mb side). The leads are to small for me to solder, does anyone have one that they want to sell or trade? Or know where I can get one that will work with the webplayer. I love this unit and would hate to have to start looking for a new one for a such a small part.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

This is very important: is it the data cable (the one with a little PCB on the end and a billion little wires) or is it the power calbe (the one with about 6 pins that looks like some of the old CD-ROM audio connectors used to look)? If it's the former, I have no idea. If it's the latter, you're in luck, I posted info at this link http://www.kenseglerdesigns.com/cgi-bin/UltraBoard/UltraBoard.pl?Action=ShowPost&Board=vwgeneral&Post=828. I need to order me a new one of these.--Michael

Well, if they're too small for you to solder (I don't blame you) then you're in trouble. My only suggestions now would be to either find someone who is REALLY good at soldering to do it for you, or buy a new screen from a busted webplayer. These kind of things tend to end up on e-bay every once in a while. Sorry.--Michael
