DOC not Found

I'm attempting to put WIN98Lite on my DOC. I've made my hard drive bootable and placed the required files on the harddrive from (http://www.i-hacked.com/iappliance/webplayer.htm)

I'm inserting the chip based on the picture here:
http://www.i-hacked.com/iappliance/wpl_mobobotann.jpg

When I attempt to read from or use the DOC programming tools I get the following messages:
"No DISKONCHIP found in this system!" or DiskOnChip not found. I've tried taking the DOC out and placing it the oposite direction but then the unit will not boot (three gree lights on the front lit up and nothing else happens). Any Suggestions?

The picture is correct. I have read on this board that inserting the DOC backwards and powering it on distroys the DOC. I have not done that myself to verify.

Yes, putting in the DOC backwards and powering it on effectivly turns it into a decoration. I have zapped 2 of them...fortunately one was only 16mb...
