Since IDT ceased winchip production a few months ago, these chips are scarce and will steadily become more expensive as time goes on.
This site has some in stock @ $45 - $49.
He also has 200mhz Pentium Pro MMX overdrives
for sale.
I ordered a few items from him. He is quite helpful.Tell him you saw his URL on this BBS.

I found mine as pcprogress.com for $26. Dunno if they still have any left, but certainly worth a look.

I have one that I bought in anticipation of upgrading my IO. Instead I got a V4 with the
rise 266 chip. I no longer need it.
$40 including ship.

Why would want the Rise over the Winchip2? They're both 200Mhz and the WinChip support MMX and 3DNow!, where as the Rise only suppors MMX. If you think think the Rise MP3 266 is a 266Mhz chip, then do some math. It's printed right on the chip 2x100=200. That's right, it's a PR name that indicates nothing of what the processor's actually speed. sandpile.org has all the PR names for the Rise chips. I believe Cyrix used to do the same thing with chip names untill recently.
On another note though, the Rise MP6 266 is a tiny upgrade for people who cannot get a Winchip2. Some people might want to start selling those to the less fortunate. **hint hint h2oboxer**

Big Willy:
I realize that the Rise 266 chip is in fact 200mhz. I know how to read.
What I was trying to to is say that I have a chip for those who wanted to upgrade from the original Winchip.
I'm not quite sure of what you are hinting at, but all I am saying is that I have a chip that I have no intention to use.

None of this information except the foreign sources is accurate. Solutions is out, and the other source wants $79 for their winchip. There is a reliable source however, but it is pricy. Hint: think upgrade kits.
