I just received this from netpliance. I sent the message in Feb asking if they could set us up as resellers (this was before the craze) so we could sell them in this area. They never responded. Until now. My reply is at the top Just kinda wondering about the timing (now that its $399 instead of $99)

Sorry Angela
Since I sent the request (in Feb) and your company did not respond in a timely manner we have started talking with several competitors and it looks like we are going to carry either the internet appliance by Intel or Oracle. We also noticed how CompUsa and Circut City were treated in the way of backorders and we just simply would not like to set up any agreements with a company that handles matters in this manner.

Sorry it didnt work out
Chris

Just thought it was interesting reading now that they have changed the prices
Before they wouldnt give anyone the time of day now they want businesses to sign
up and sell their product.

That's a hoot.....What company in their right minds, would attempt to sell these things for $399? For a 10% (maybe) markup, and hundreds of irate customers.....oh, brother.

Thats what we thought. I in particular have checked out this bbs for a while now and when Angela sent me this letter I laughed out loud. I cannot believe after the way that Netpliance left Circut City and Compusa that anyone in their right minds would team up and sell these. Esp at a $399 price point.
