Just curious, those of you that have I-openers installed in your car, what kind of car do you drive?

99 Subaru forrester, Using one of the I-o's as a Gps and onboard mobile pc.
Mounted next to air conditioning outlet and have one A/C deflector directed at the back of the i-O so it will cool it before I turn it on when parked on a hot sunny day. I also use aluminized bubble wrap insulation to cover the i-o when parked.

In a strange coincidence, I have almost the same setup.

2k Forester (S), mounted using the dash trim kit. I've got a quick-disconnect set up for the IO, so I just unmount it and stash it in a carry case when I park. I've got my CoPilot GPS & TV tuner mounted inside the trim kit bay, and the cables just peeking out to hook up to the IO. The mount retracts far enough into the dash bay to make it look like just another cell phone holder. It's very easy to see, and a damn sight more convienent than mounting it on the side of the shifter housing.

I am using the factory stand that comes w/it. I just place the iopener between the front seat and the dash. I planed on using some type of fassener, but it is stable enough w/out them. I just got my $13 SIIG USB to serial adapter, so now I can play MP3s and run GPS at the same time!
