| So I'm sitting at my desk this morning, minding my own business and my cell phone rings. "Hi, it's Cali Garcia from Netpliance. We're just following up with everyone who has failed to activate their i-Openers." So he asks me why I didn't keep the service (I cancelled, of course, as soon as I got it). I told him it took so freaking long to come that I got something else, and that their product is sitting unopened in my closet. Of course, it is actually on my desk at home in pieces - never put it back together after putting my own OS on it. So then he says, well we have all these new service plans, and he starts rattling them off. Finally, after indicating that I wasn't interested he says, "for those who still don't want to use our service we want to buy the box back!" I started to laugh and said you're kidding me right?! He said, "no we want you to be happy, and if you're not happy we'll take it back". I told him I was going to hang onto the box, and that maybe I would give it as a gift. He said, "well if you change your mind here's my name and number". Then he gave me his toll free number and his extension. Is that weird or what! | |
