Cant we show each other a little respect

New MessageCant we show each other a little respect (modified 0 times) Jceven
Hi Guys,

After reading many of the posts here. I find it appalling at the level of respect that people are giving one another.
I'm only 19 and I bet most of the flame posters on this board are older than that.

Get real guys, Mom jokes were funny in 4th grade. Most of our mothers are atleast 45 years old, show some respect.

As for Cytechnos AKA Mickey Mouse. Before you flame him for his childish post, it may help you to know that he cant help it.
I recently bought an I-Opener off of ebay from a gal, and then received an strange email from mickey mouse, he informed me to send the money to this gal and then he would ship the I-Opener. This transacton has since been completed and I am happy with it.

My point is that Mickey Mouse has a learning disability, which explains his spelling, something that I discovered in his emails to me, and when I went digging around on his web page. So instead of flaming some guy that cant barely get along in life, why dont you guys pick on some your own size.

And To tie this all into the I-Opener theme.

Newbies, what are we to do with them? Well here's a start-

Instead of ranting about how there is a search function, take the extra thirty seconds to post a link to the thread they should look at. I didnt realize there was sa search feature until people were getting flamed for it. The Link is so small that I missed it.

And To tie it all together. The way to attract people to the I-Opener community is by not greeting them with a chastisement and by continuing the mom and sister jokes. How can we expect to gain members in this community if the people in it already dont even get along?

-Oh Please Flame away at this post, I think I made my point clear, and with out using vulgarity and swear words I might add.

I don't think I've flamed Mickey Mouse other than referring to a great post he had made on one thread to another thread early on and saying I felt silly giving credit to Mickey Mouse.
As for Cytechnos I can't remember seeing any of his posts. If I have flamed in his direction I apologize with the utmost sincerity.

Now as far as bad_packet is concerned not only is he a troll but a lamer who gives out advise on video drivers that cause problems and is not man enough to apologize. As far as bad_packet is concerned his mom can sit on my finger any day of the week.

If this talk about bad packets mom upsets you ask him what's going on with him and his sister.

I freely admit to being a newbie (or maybe a more correct term would be virgin?) to modifying the i-opener. But I have now ordered my first i-opener and I am awaiting it with eager anticipation! So what do you all think is better, having the finished product 'in hand', or the thrill of the chase?
Anyhow, back to the topic. I wrote the post on video display differences with the assumption that I would be flamed to hell and back for asking such a silly-ass question, and I was quite surprised at the friendly and cogent replies. It seems I had formed a faulty impression of the people here, and I don't mind apologizing at all. I consider myself to be extremely fortunate to be able to draw on all the knowlege you all have presented here, culled from all of your investment and work. To reach the goal I am most definitely standing on the shoulders of giants. Thanks everyone!

Both, I think. Whipping the IOs into a special brew of uber-hack is fun, and the utility of the finished product is even better. This is a true hardware nut's dream, and I have learned quite a lot in the doing.

^I built my first IrDA port last night, whee!^
