diverse uses for the i-op

I was wondering what everyone uses their i-op for? I have heard the following reasons:
1. MP3 device for the car or home audio
2. GPS / navigation
3. Oscilloscope
4. Portable IT / network admin tool

I am currently building my first i-op. Wanna know why? (If "no" -- sorry you're gonna hear it anyhow)
The company I work for recently started monitoring our computer usage and all terminals go through their network. I like the idea of the i-op because it is small enough to fit in my locker, yet I can occasionally plug in a phone line and get on the net! (As long as it's a local call -- they don't monitor those.) A few of my co-workers have laptops, and recently I finally began to understand why! No Big Brother!

(PS -- yes, I do all my work, and you can usually find me playing around with Excel spreadsheets, not playing games. But I still don't like the idea of Big Brother!)

one of mine is sitting on top of my stereo. Its my MP3 player. when it is running win98 I can control it across my apartment since its jacked in, only when its running BeOS it looks much kewler. win98 doesnt really cut it well in a cheaper computer like this. also since all the rooms are wired here at MSU it would be easy to throw it in a bag and plug in while in class. At least that would keep me busy during the couple of 300 level courses I have to take. Oh well, when you are going for 2 concurrent degrees you have to at least stagger some 300 and 400s seeing as the 400s always require about 30 hours a week each. That means I can work on a program or something useful. the IO makes a great Xterm. there are so many ideas i have for using the thing that I would need about another 10 of them to try them all out tho.

only problem with using the Iopener as a digital picture frame is that it looks awful unless you look directly onto the screen. Otherwise youll find people asking "who are those green/blue people on your wall?"
